We offer healthy lifestyles and fitness training youth provision, operating within Mandale and Victoria Ward but young people can reside anywhere to engage.

We offer various interventions for children and young people using the combat sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Grappling across two main programme strands.

The project was created by Ralph “Halph” Presgrave who set up the project voluntarily in 2008 in response to young people consultation and his passion and interest for combat sports spanning over a decade.  S2S was established by constitution in 2012.  S2S now ran by a team of dedicated volunteers, two themselves being former attendees of the project.

The project has nominations for SBC Sports – Project of the Year Award 2012 and Catalyst Health Impact Award 2017.

S2S has featured in national press and also within Jiu Jitsu Style magazine on the outcomes of martial arts on the education system.

Our programmes have an average attendance of 20 young people ranging from all abilities both male and females.
